Community Health Clinic, Santo Domingo Project HOPE, in collaboration with the American and Dominican Associations of the Order of Malta, established a community health clinic and health education program in Herrera, in Santo Domingo. The clinic, now run by a local organizations provides health visits and community education activities -- targeting pregnant and breastfeeding women and young children. |

Their primary function is to provide follow-up services to people previously evaluated during an outreach, although they accept walk-in patients as well. Facility includes 3 exam rooms, small pharmacy and lab, and a dental suite. |

Good Samaritan Hospital- Jimani International Medical Alliance of TN. supports this hospital and sends eye teams annually. The facility has 6 ORs. Since the earthquake in Haiti, it has become a gateway for relief efforts for Haitians who cross the border. |

Hospital of Hope in Los Alcarrizos In cooperation with Medical Ministry International (M.M.I.), Careforce US (now Unto Inc.) assisted in the development of this children's surgical hospital on the campus of CCSM Elias Santana Hospital, outside of Santo Domingo. With five surgical rooms, The Hospital of Hope specializes in eye surgery and eye care along with providing extensive orthopedic treatments, infant and child care and treatment. The hospital needs assistance handling the number of patients that come into the facility each day. Doctors, nurses, dentists and other health professionals come from all over the world to volunteer in the community. |

ILAC Center in the Dominican Republic ILAC is a faith-based group that has a free-standing clinic near Santiago with three operating rooms and five exam rooms. ILAC has a system of health-care workers, called cooperadores, who live in remote villages and perform health screenings. The cooperadores bring surgical candidates to the clinic. |
