    The Foundation assists in the management and operation of the pediatric neurosurgery unit at Catarino Rivas Hospital, in cooperation with neurosurgeon Dr. Ena Miller and the other neurosurgeons working in the same hospital. This fully-staffed eight-bed unit predominately treats children born with neural tubal defects who need repeated surgeries and treatment. The staff and a local group of volunteers are available to provide not only physical care for the children, but also much needed support for their families.
