Physicians for Peace

Physicians For Peace sends teams of medical volunteers, including physicians, dentists, nurses and other health professionals, on medical missions to places where their healing skills are needed. Dominican Republic programs include dental clinics, burn compression units, and women's health programs.

Planned Parenthood Global

PPI works with partner organizations to prevent maternal death and disability by increasing access to contraceptives and reducing unsafe abortions. Partner organizations provide clinic- and community-based outreach activities designed to increase the use of contraceptives and other services by adolescents; decrease unsafe abortion practices; and improve the social, legal, and political climate regarding sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Predisan

Predisan is a medical mission to the people of Honduras. Since 1986, Predisan has been providing health care services and education in and around Catacamas. Predisan's work spans nine locations — the Predisan Family Health Center and Good Samaritan Clinic in central Catacamas, two clinics in rural suburbs of Catacamas, five clinics in remote mountain villages, and the CEREPA addiction treatment center in Catacamas.

Presbyterian Church(USA)

The International Health Ministries Office(IHMO) coordinates the ministries of the PC(USA)in international health and development. The IHMO works in partnership with overseas churches and institutions to facilitate health programs that place priority on the most vulnerable and poorest segments of the population.

Primeros Pasos

Primeros Pasos works to offer quality and affordable healthcare and health education to the underserved communities of the Palajunoj valley just outside of Quetzaltenango, a small city in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. Combines clinical care, basic laboratory analysis, in-clinic education and school-based outreach programs.

Project Belize, Inc.

Project Belize is a non-proft corporation located in Nacogdoches, Texas, that annually sends a group of doctors, nurses, and other members travel to the Central American country of Belize. The group provides medical treatment to approximately 1000 people living in the remote villages of southern Belize.

Project Concern Int'l offers a broad range of services including, family health, disaster relief and disease prevention programs within Haiti and Guatemala, as well as numerous other countries worldwide.

Project Global Village (Proyecto Aldea Global)

Project Global Village´s health program, in coordination with Mercy Corps, works in close cooperation with the Honduran government’s health department to provide assistance to special national and regional initiatives. Project Global Village has also constructed and works with local health centers and clinics in training staff to provide better patient attention and service.

Project Haiti Heart

Atlanta based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide medical and humanitarian aid to the people of Haiti, especially those who are affected by heart diseases. PHH is building a medical center in Fonds Parisiens and creating a cardiovascular center in Fonds Parisiens for referrals to new heart center across the border in Jimani, DR. PHH brings patients to US for surgery as needed. They have implemented a Rheumatic heart disease prevention program as well. Just opened Formosa OB/Gyn Center in Fonds Parisiens.

Project HANDS

Project HANDS promotes improvement in health, education and living conditions for impoverished people. Current focus is on medical triage and surgical trips to rural Guatemala.

Project HOPE in Guatemala

Project HOPE's focus is primarily on the rural Mayan populations, where the infant and child mortality rate is far above the national average. Through HOPE's education and community health programs, hundreds of community health volunteers and traditional birth attendants have been trained -- mostly in remote villages -- to provide basic primary and preventive health care services to women and young children.

Project HOPE in Honduras

Project HOPE has been active in Honduras since 1982. Past efforts in the region include the development of medical education programs focusing on community health planning; laboratory sciences; nursing; biomedical engineering; community based maternal and child health programming; health facilities management training; renovation; and providing humanitarian assistance.

Project HOPE in the Dominican Republic

Project HOPE has been working with the American and Dominican Associations of the Order of Malta since 1996, providing education and clinical care to pregnant women and young children at a community health clinic in Herrera, one of the poorest barrios of Santo Domingo.

Project Medishare for Haiti, Inc.

Medishare coordinates and manages groups of medical students, doctors, nurses, and other health care professionsals for health fairs in Thomonde and several other communitities as well as orphanages and schools in Haiti. Begun by students and faculty from the University of Miami School of Medicine, this program has recently expanded to include other leading universities around the country. Project Medishare has reopened a long-shut government clinic in Thomonde, begun a program to bring surgical specialties to Canje in central Haiti, and has shipped donated medical supplies, equipment, and non-expired medicines to Haiti.

Promise for Haiti

Promise for Haiti was founded in 1981 as the stateside support agency for Comite de Bienfaisance de Pignon in Pignon, Haiti. An outpatient clinic and small hospital provide major and minor surgery, radiology, pharmacy, lab, eye and dental clinics, as well as a nutrition training center.

ProPapa Missions America

Pro-Papa works with the people of Honduras to relieve their suffering through health, housing, and education. Pro-Papa operates two clinics: one on the north coast, in Uracco, and one in the southern region of Corquin.

Prosthetika

Prosthetika's mission is to provide appropriate and sustainable assistance to disabled people in developing countries. In Haiti, Prosthetika built a self-contained prosthetic workshop into two 20 foot steel shipping containers. The workshop facilitates fabrication of artificial limbs and orthopedic braces, and serves as a training facility for training local Haitian technicians.

Purpose Medical Mission

Purpose Medical Mission aims to provide medical assistance to severely medically underserved regions of the world, including Guatemala, through the coordination of short term medical missions.

Randolph World Ministries

Randolph World Ministries, Inc. provides a full range of medical services to over 20 Haitian clinics through training, materials, consultation, and personal visits to each facility. Randolph World Ministries also conducts mobile clinics and eye clinics during biannual short term missions.

Re-Vision

Re-Vision, Inc. is a faith based organization that conducts short term medical and educational missions to the Dominican Republic.

Recycled and Redeemed

Recycled and Redeemed is focused on providing medical care, education and speech therapy to the people of Guatemala through short term missions.

Refuge International

Refuge International is focused primarily on providing basic healthcare, adequate nutrition, clean water and education to several remote villages in Guatemala.

Regnum Christi Misiones Medicas: Manos que alcanzan el Corazon

Las misiones requieren del apoyo de los medicos, voluntarios, gente del Regnum Christi y demas personas que brindan sus conocimientos, caridad cristiana y tiempo para sanar cuerpos y almasGracias a la colaboracion de aproximadamente 45 medicos extranjeros, 12 medicos mexicanos, 40 voluntarios de Estados Unidos y 80 voluntarios de Mexico, entre los cuales participan enfermeras, estudiantes de medicina, quimicos, etc., se pueden contar con exito las misiones medicas.
